Oh, friends. This is one brand reveal I have been dying to share with y’all for months now! I couldn’t be more pleased to introduce y’all to Ara Collective, a design collective featuring textiles from artisans all over the world. When Sarah Smith, the designer and creative mastermind behind the Ara Collective, sent me her initial inquiry, I was blown away by not only her vision, but her heart for this incredible project. Ara Collective partners with artisans all over the world to curate handcrafted pieces that highlight traditional craftsmanship and one-of-a-kind details for the modern home. Inspired by her extensive travels, Sarah wanted to create a visual brand that captured the exotic nature of Ara in a modern, approachable and clean way. I mean, just take a look at her mood board below for a serious dose of wanderlust and Moroccan influence!
We utilized a luxe, earthy color palette for an approachable yet versatile aesthetic. Combined with the delicate, Moroccan-inspired details in the Ara brand symbol, this brand design may be my favorite to date. From logo design to print collateral to packaging, this project enabled us to delve into every facet of the Ara Collective visual presence!
I may be a little biased, but it’s gorgeous, right? The Ara Collective products range from throws to weekend bags to home textiles, and each collection features traditional weaving and brocading techniques from different parts of the world. Collection One highlights Mexican and Guatemalan craftsmanship, and I can’t speak highly enough of the beautiful detail that goes into each piece!
