Oh friends, today I’m so thrilled to introduce y’all to the new look of Storybook Weddings & Events! This soft, feminine and romantic rebrand was such a joy to design, and partnering with Nicole and her incredibly talented team of planners was nothing short of pure fun. Nicole is the creative mastermind behind Storybook Weddings & Events, a boutique wedding planning studio based in Chicago. Nicole reached out to me last year about creating a fresh visual identity for her wonderful business, and after hearing her heart for Storybook, and her couples, I leapt at the chance to work together.

Together, we focused on taking Storybook away from a more literal interpretation of their business name and instead invested our energy in creating a romantic, bespoke visual presence that was warm, approachable yet elegant. When Nicole talks about her vision for Storybook, it’s clear that the work she and her team do is so much more than choosing color palettes, pulling linens and sourcing decor. She and her team work hard to expertly execute each client’s story, celebrating their love and creating a truly memorable experience they will cherish for years to come. Whenever Nicole and her team partner with a new couple, they incorporate so much heart and energy into telling their clients’ story well and authentically.

So of course we wanted to represent that heart through soft, simple design and the heartfelt strategy to back it all up! We opted for a muted color palette of mauve, soft grey and dreamy blues to set the tone for a vintage-inspired, yet modern aesthetic. The handwritten script is reminiscent of a sweetheart writing their beloved a letter, and the floral spray represents an organic, ever-blooming quality about love.

Through their print presence, we opted for full color flat printing to truly let this gorgeous color palette shine! With custom business cards for everyone on the team, to branded stationery, thoughtful thank you cards and subtly feminine letterhead, even the most simple of sentiments won’t go unnoticed.

Nicole and I also worked hard to create a few thoughtful incorporations to add to her website, which she finished out herself on Squarespace.
