The past month has been one series of curve balls after the other, to put it mildly. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you may have heard the news that our beloved golden retriever, Rascal, passed away very suddenly at the end of May. Armon and I have been devastated and are still doing our best to come to terms with our loss. But in the thick of our grief, we heard about a little golden pup in Dallas who needed a home. We both felt that after losing Rascal so suddenly, we very literally had so much love in our hearts left to give, and that maybe this little guy was the one who needed it most. So we packed up a few puppy supplies and drove over to Dallas to meet this newest member of the b is for bonnie team.

Meet Boone, y’all! He’s a 13-week-old golden retriever pup with big paws, lots of attitude and a penchant for mischief. In the past week or so of welcoming him into our lives, he’s taught us more about patience and dealing with lack of sleep than ever before.

Boone’s favorite treats are green beans and homemade sweet potato chews. His favorite toy is a stuffed hedgehog and he will lose his mind over a Kong stuffed with peanut butter! I’ll admit that his bursts of puppy energy haven’t exactly been conducive to getting much done in the office, so he’ll be introduced to a role with more responsibility as he grows. Until then, meet our little shop pup who adds a little extra fluff and puppy kisses to our office culture!
