Oh, friends! This rustic, romantic and truly heartfelt visual brand may be one of my favorites yet. My sweet client Loren of Loren Jackson Photography recently launched the beautiful brand refresh we’ve been working on for months now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate with her from afar! As a natural light wedding and engagement photographer in Akron, Ohio, Loren’s work captures her deep seated value for marriage, her couples, and their story as they enter into a new season of life. Loren wanted to create a refreshed visual brand that accurately represented that heart and experience to her sweet couples, and I’ve been absolutely honored to partner with her to create a full visual brand, marketing collateral and new Showit website!
Loren’s style as a photographer and her approach to working with her couples is warm, inviting, approachable and relational. We knew from the start that we wanted to pull in details that spoke to her unique approach, and could relay what clients can expect before they even inquire. Incorporating personal details steeped in meaning, like the wheat icon in her logo and secondary marks, not only represents Loren visually but also sets her visual brand apart.
When Loren and I started working together, her primary color palette included hues of navy, grey and yellow. We expanded on those original colors, and added in shades of cool blue, warm grey, honey and soft white for contrast and depth. Since we chose to build on Loren’s existing visual brand, we used the incorporation of color and strategic imagery to present a refreshed, upscale aesthetic that still resonates with her existing client base.
From her website, to her stationery, to that incredibly playful repeating wheat envelope liner we created, every detail of this project was filled with heart, joy and so much intention.
