Preppy, Southern Brand Reveal for Christina Forbes Photography | Custom Branding + Showit Website

If you’re a fan of preppy colors, nautical elements, Southern details and gorgeous photography, then this is one brand reveal you won’t want to miss! Last year, I had the pleasure of partnering with Christina of Christina Forbes Photography to redesign her visual brand. From her website to her logo to her print collateral, we worked together to give the entire suite a thoughtful overhaul!

Christina and I met at the Creative at Heart Conference in Charleston a few years ago, and I was absolutely honored when Christina reached out to work together on her rebrand. Based in Virginia and specializing in warm, preppy,  Southern weddings, Christina wanted a logo and coordinating collateral that represnted her experience, heart and talent. A deep love for the ocean and all things nautical also played a large role in Christina’s inspiration, so we focused on creating a custom icon and fresh digital pattern to represent these heartfelt elements! Personally, I love the sailors knot icon we created to not only represent Christina’s love of the ocean, but also the symbolic value of two lives becoming one as they step into a new season of marriage. As a designer, when we’re able to incorporate elements that are a perfect mix of authenticity and strategy, it just makes my heart sing!

We incorporated a mix of classic typography paired with a delicate calligraphy-inspired font to bring in a romantic, whimsical feel to certain areas of her website. We built her website on Showit, using the foundation of a template Christina discovered earlier as the base layer for the overall layout. Whenever I have the opportunity to design in Showit for a client, I just love it! It’s such an easy-to-use platform, and it truly gives my clients a sense of ownership over their site when our work together is done, since making updates, changing images or refreshing copy is as easy as can be.

Working with Christina on this labor of love was such a joy, and I am so excited that today is the happy day she shares this new, intentional visual presence with her brides and grooms!
