After an exciting and incredibly busy launch season for the Brand Strategy School, I’m finally emerging from live webinars and email sequences to join the land of regular entrepreneur life. Which is a totally different kind of crazy/busy in and of itself. 🙂
Armon and I took a little work-cation last week to Dallas where we curled up inside the cutest townhome for a few days reading, dreaming big about what’s next, and catching up on lots of sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. And while I was there, between the client work and walking to Whole Foods for treats, I did some reflecting on the BSS course launch and I realized something. I created and launched that entire course in a span of 30 days.
If you’ve ever launched a course or online product before, you know it’s no easy feat. It takes hours and hours of conceptualization, hard work, and some serious marketing to get it in front of your ideal students. And I can honestly say that in my six years of business I’ve never successfully launched something so quickly or so well!
As I was creating the course, I was talking about it on social media. I was sharing my excitement and I also wanted to share all the effort and energy that goes into creating something like this! My inbox and DMs on Instagram kept filling up from boss ladies just like you who were wondering how in the world I was creating this so quickly! Was I sleeping? Was I eating? Was I ignoring my clients?
And I told them what I’m telling you now — this was a labor of love that required long nights, busy days, and a whole lot of intentional hustle.
And it required a plan.
Without a clear plan for what I needed to do and when I needed to do it, the BSS would still be an idea trapped inside my head. It certainly wouldn’t be a real course that my students are currently walking through!
I broke each facet of creating, and then marketing the course, into small, actionable steps that I could work into my schedule without interfering with client work. I assigned due dates for different parts of the course creation, and then assigned different times during my workday for different projects. Tackling things bit-by-bit allowed me to stay on task, get everything on time, and not feel overwhelmed along the way.
I also tackled marketing my course well in advance of launch week so I had everything lined up and ready to go. From writing sales copy ahead of time to creating promo graphics to mapping out my social media strategy, I didn’t leave any detail to chance.
Creating a specific, regimented approach to creating and launching this course enabled me to create content quickly, efficiently, and then get back to serving my clients well along the way.
Curious about the exact steps I took to create (and successfully launch!) a course in 30-days? I’m creating a digital guide to walk you through my exact strategy so you can get your incredible idea out of your head and into the hands of your students ASAP! Click here to be notified when this actionable guide (and some other exciting resources!) launch.
