After a restful sabbatical, I’m so excited to hop back onto the blog with a brand new client reveal. There is nothing I love more than celebrating with my incredible custom branding clients and today I’m so excited to share a gorgeous brand reveal and launch for my sweet client, Emily Chappell Photography!
Emily has been capturing joyful weddings and working with heartfelt couples since 2013. On top of that, Emily is an educator and using her vast experience to help other photographers grow the wedding and portrait business of their dreams.
When Emily got in touch with me to craft a heartfelt, elevated new brand for her business I was honored. And over the past few months we’ve worked together to create a gorgeous new visual identity, bespoke letterpress stationery and a magnificent Showit 5 website with all the bells and whistles that I’m thrilled to share with you today!
It’s been such a joy to see how her heart has come to life through every single detail of our branding project.
So friends, if you’re a fan of joyful branding, vibrant pinks and blues, and romantic, feminine details then this is one brand reveal you will not want to miss.

THE STRATEGY BEHIND THIS BRAND REVEAL
When Emily first reached out to me, she was looking to craft an elevated brand that visually lived up to her reputation as an expert in the wedding community in the DFW area.
She was booking her ideal couples and shooting incredible work, but she needed a visual identity and elevated website that continually positioned her as an expert and as the photographer of her couple’s dreams.
We put our heads together to craft an elevated, luxe brand that inspires confidence, speaks to who Emily is, and invites couples into the one-of-a-kind experience that only she can offer.
As we got to work, Emily shared:
“My brand didn’t have the WOW factor that I had wanted. I felt like I was having a hard time showcasing myself and my personality in my branding. There was a huge disconnect between my branding and the experience that I knew I could provide for potential couples.”
We immediately began to strategize on how we could take her existing visual identity and elevate it in such a way that would speak to not only her style and aesthetic, but also to her heart for her couples and the passion she has for educating fellow photographers through her educational offers.
As you can see, my job was twofold here.
I wasn’t just positioning Emily as an expert for her couples and potential brides and grooms in her area. I was also able to build a brand that gave Emily the space to fully step into her role as an educator in the photography industry and allowed her to be fully trusted as a mentor and guide from fellow photographers.
VISUAL BRAND INSPIRATION
When Emily and I were doing our initial strategy work together she kept saying that so many couples are looking for a Disney-like fairytale magic and so we wanted to create a brand that subtly had a magical Disney feel to it.
I might be biased, but I really do feel we hit that mark!
We wanted to create an overarching brand that felt joyful, feminine, elevated and modern.
Through Emily’s logo design, we focused on pulling in custom details that Cami Monet calligraphed for Emily in the past. Cami put together these beautiful custom calligraphy initials that Emily knew she wanted to incorporate throughout her branding. So we focused on taking some of those custom elements from Cami and built them into a brand new visual logo and coordinating details.
I wanted to create a personal logo and coordinating marks that spoke to Emily’s past work, but also left room for the bright and bold future that she is carving out day by day.
As we got to work through the visual elements, I also wanted to pull in a color palette that really spoke to the bright, cheery, warm, and inviting aesthetic that Emily captures throughout her images. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with Emily or meeting her in person, then you know she is just as warm and inviting in person as her photos and brand makes her seem.
So we went with a color palette that’s made up of a lot of soft pinks and some really muted blues. On top of that, we peppered in some pops of color through a really punchy coral that I absolutely love.
We also focused on incorporating in some custom illustrated floral sprays throughout her website and branding that really tied everything together.

HIGH-END LETTERPRESS STATIONERY SUITE
With Emily’s new visuals finalized, I got to work pulling her gorgeous new logo and alternate marks into a high-end letterpress stationery suite that serves as a heartfelt touchpoint for every single couple that Emily works with.
Whether she is sending a thank you to a couple that just booked her or delivering a handwritten note with their wedding album—her couples are going to feel so loved and valued when they pop open these gorgeous baby blue envelopes and pull out these luxe letterpress notecards.
We wanted to create an in-hand feel for her stationery that left an impression so we invested our time in finding some beautiful, luxe paper stock and paired that with a gorgeous deep-blue letterpress ink.
I loved how we pulled in so many of the beautiful details from Emily’s branding assets such as an unexpected pop of her floral illustrations throughout her stationery suite.
As you can see, it’s such a gorgeous suite and in pairing that with the custom Welcome Guide we created, Emily is able to really wow her couples with a fully cohesive, tangible experience immediately after booking.

A ROBUST SHOWIT 5 WEBSITE
We echoed that feel from her stationery suite into her custom Showit 5 website. We spent so much intentional time and energy crafting a robust online home for Emily’s brand that allows her to speak to her brides and grooms, and also to her photographers through her mentoring and education.
Emily’s custom Showit 5 website is so beautiful and has so much quality information and gorgeous imagery that personally I could get lost in it.
Because we really wanted to make Emily’s couples feel valued and cared for through the content on her website, we left no detail unturned.
We invested so much time and energy into creating robust resource pages, sharing all the details her couples can expect, creating custom investment pages on her website, to easily share pricing info and more.
If a potential couple lands on Emily’s website, they are able to submit a qualified inquiry through her contact form already knowing all the details—from start to finish—they need to know in order to move forward with her. From her availability, to her approach, to pricing, to what they can expect every step of the way—Emily is able to celebrate an increase in the quality of leads that she is receiving.
“I thought I was getting a decent amount of inquiries before (and I was)…but now, I get more leads and more QUALIFIED leads, on top of that! They all say the same thing: “I love how joyful and bright your work and website is!” MISSION. ACCOMPLISHED.”
On top of that, I’m so excited she has been able to increase her pricing and consistently book clients at that new price point based on her new visual branding!
INTENTIONAL BRAND STRATEGY
Friend, there’s so much potential that lies in store for you and your business if you choose to invest in powerful, purposeful brand design and strategy.
Emily is just one example of the kinds of wins and kinds of success you can celebrate after walking through a truly intentional brand experience.
In her own words, Emily said:
“Working with you was the best decision I could have made for my business. I never had to guess where we were in the process. I always felt prepared and comfortable. Most of all, I cannot thank you for how willing you were to make a few pivots when I felt that a certain branding element needed to go a different direction. It’s clear that your heart is to create intentional branding that reflects the vision your clients have for their business, and not just something you think looks pretty! “
