As the seasons change and temperatures start to dip, I always find myself spending more time cooking at home. And what better way to celebrate the changing seasons than by eating accordingly!
Friends, today I am so excited to introduce you to your new favorite blog featuring at-home recipes inspired by the seasons. Seasonally Jane, a seasonal food blog highlighting approachable yet elevated recipes created and curated by Amanda, the creative genius behind the brand, has a gorgeous new online home!
Through a custom Showit 5 website and a visual identity inspired by Amanda’s seasonal cooking, the Seasonally Jane blog went through an intentional face lift.
And I’m excited to walk you through the entire process today on the blog!
A Custom Showit 5 Brand Reveal
From seasonal recipes to approachable (yet elevated) at-home recipes, the Seasonally Jane blog is your go-to resource for creating memorable meals that you and your loved ones will relish. Whether you shop at your local Whole Foods or grab produce at the farmers market, Amanda’s recipes will have you filling up your cart with what’s in season time and time again!
Earlier this year, Amanda reached out with an interest in creating a beautiful, user-friendly blog to house her ever-growing arsenal of seasonally inspired recipes. While balancing a demanding full-time career, she wanted to be able to invite readers into a polished, warm online experience that didn’t take her time away from what matters most in her life.
That’s where I stepped in to not only build a custom brand that reflects the heart of Seasonally Jane, but to also design a robust Showit 5 website that will serve her well for years to come.
Create Goals to Build a Strong Brand Strategy
Our goals for this re-brand centered on:
- Growing the Seasonally Jane readership through an engaging, memorable blog experience that keeps visitors diving deeper and deeper into the archives
- Creating a brand that gets people excited about cooking with seasonal ingredients
- Establishing the Seasonally Jane brand as a contender in the seasonal food blogging community, and position Amanda to connect with blog sponsors in the near future
After launching her new website last month, Amanda has been busy creating dozens of new recipes to make your Fall season as cozy as can be. And they’re all absolutely drool-worthy, if I say so myself!
When we started working together, Amanda was dreaming of a brand that captured the approachable warm that the Seasonally Jane brand exudes. Through thoughtful touches like a handwritten-inspired script to a custom illustration featuring Amanda’s favorite herbs, I designed a logo that will serve Amanda well for seasons to come.
For her color palette, we went with a deep range of greens, soft blues, and neutrals. We drew direct inspiration not only from seasonal crops, but also from Amanda’s home state of Florida. The result offers a cohesive palette that brings vibrancy to every inch of her beautiful website.
After working together, Amanda shared that she felt like her new website is “the Cadillac of food blogs!” And I’m thrilled to know that her readers will be able to dive deeper into her trove of recipes through her easy-to-use website.
The Importance of Custom Touch Points
As a seasonal food blog, it was important to us that Amanda’s Showit 5 website was not only user friendly but was also filled with custom touches that left a lasting impression.
From a customized recipe plugin that makes it incredibly easy to add in recipe content, to a massive library of all recipes, we left no detail to chance. And don’t even get me started on all the sweet, custom illustrations that made an appearance on this website!
Since Amanda specializes in seasonal recipes, we wanted to create an in-depth section that highlights her recipes by season. If you’re looking for a tasty cocktail to try out this November, simply browse all the “Fall” recipes and you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for!
On top of that, each season’s section features an overview of what’s in season so you know what you search for at your local grocery store.
Be sure to head here to see the full website in action and find your new favorite recipe!
