Courtney Kattler is an East Coast portrait and wedding photographer for fun-loving couples. When she reached out to me, she was ready to up-level her brand in order to reflect her heart, wow her ideal clients, and invite them into an elevated experience. Together, we took what Courtney called her “patchwork quilt brand” and wove a story throughout her elevated new visual branding to position her as the go-to photographer for her sweet, ideal couples!

BEGINNING WITH THE END IN MIND: GOAL-SETTING FOR A REBRANDING PROJECT
Courtney came to me with dreams of creating a beautiful, elevated brand and website to reflect her level of expertise and enable her to invite her ideal clients into a thoughtful experience. After years with a brand she’d outgrown, she wanted to invite her clients into a polished, warm online experience.
That’s where I stepped in. First, I built a custom brand that reflects the heart of CKP. From there, I was able to design beautiful letterpress stationery and a robust Showit 5 website that will serve both her and her clients well for years to come.
Our goals for Courtney’s re-brand were to…
- Establish Courtney as the go-to photographer for fun-loving and adventurous couples based on the East Coast or worldwide
- Create a brand that reflects the CKP client experience
- Elevate the CKP brand so Courtney can charge more for her services, take on sessions with her ideal clients, and position herself in a way that’s poised for future growth
CUSTOM BRAND REVEAL RESULTS
After launching her new website last month, Courtney has been welcoming new couples to the CKP family through her elevated level of service AND booking them at her higher price points! Courtney wanted her brand to reflect classic, East Coast charm while speaking to her warm, relational approach as a photographer. Through thoughtful touches like custom calligraphy-inspired type and a jaw-dropping letterpress stationery suite, we left no detail to chance.
THE VISUALS BEHIND THE BRAND
For her color palette, we opted for a mix of deep navy and soft blues paired with even softer pinks. And, for a fun punch of color, we rounded out the palette by pulling in a bold fuchsia.
We carried this gorgeous color palette throughout her custom stationery suite. We opted for letterpress finishing and soft cotton stock for a memorable, tactile client experience. I added in a fun surprise of personality and color through the monogrammed envelope liner that pops out at you once you open your handwritten card from Courtney!
DESIGNING EVERY ASPECT, FROM START TO FINISH
Of course, we wanted to ensure that we weren’t just elevating the front-end of the CKP brand, but also every detail that CKP couples experience behind-the-scenes. In order to allow new couples to walk through Courtney’s process with intention, we designed a robust welcome magazine to wow her couples after they book. From engagement session outfit ideas to wedding timeline tips, Courtney packed so much value to this asset for her couples.
