Thank y’all so, so much for all your kind words and condolences in response to my Instagram post this weekend. Armon and I have been so humbled by all your love and support, and although there’s really nothing anyone can say or do that eases the pain, all your well wishes have been so heartwarming. Since last week was filled with so much heaviness, we were determined to make this weekend one filled with joy, simple pleasures, and rest.

We kicked the weekend off with our home inspection! I know I’ve been keeping things hush hush over the past few months with regards to our big move, but I have some exciting news to share soon. Some things fell apart so that better things could come together, and this gorgeous house is definitely one of them! That mantle, that marble tile surround, that molding all just make my little heart soar. Stay tuned for a blog post coming soon that spills the beans on what we’ve been up to behind the scenes.

What weekend is complete without brunch? We felt like this week ran us over with a freight train, so we treated ourselves to a tasty Mexican brunch on the patio at our favorite spot. Truthfully, we brunched all around town this weekend, and I have no regrets. Margaritas, mimosas and heartfelt conversation with your favorite guy are all good for the soul!

If losing a parent has taught us anything, it’s that life is just too short to put anything off, even for another day. Armon and I have been talking about taking a big UK adventure for years, and ever since I studied abroad, I have been dying to take him back to show him all my favorite haunts. So this weekend, we stopped dreaming and started doing. Plane tickets are booked, AirBNB’s have been researched, and itineraries are in place! Now, I just have to patiently wait for September to roll around.
