After moving into our house last October, I’ve finally started to really turn this space into our home! Thanks to a slower Spring season, I’ve been able to really invest my time and energy into sourcing the perfect pieces for each room, not just stuff that’s trendy or ultra cheap. Armon and I are really embracing the concept of fewer, better things to put inside our home, and our closets! And for our dining room, that looked like sourcing products that brought joy, were durable yet stylish, and fit within our budget.
Today, I’m so excited to be sharing my recent finds from Overstock.com with y’all! I’ll be honest, friend. I’ve known about this website for forever (does anyone else remember those Overstock commercials on TV from ages ago?), but haven’t actually made a big purchase from the site until now. Late last year, I commissioned a farm table and for as much as we love it’s rustic design and light grey stain, we’ve had absolutely no luck finding the right chairs to pair with it. That is, until now!
To be fair, the table is really long, and we knew we wanted at least eight chairs to accommodate dinners with friends, family get-togethers, and holiday feasts! But ordering eight of anything, least of all eight pieces of furniture, isn’t exactly budget-friendly. Enter Overstock and their staggeringly vast selection of dining room chairs! I can’t tell y’all how many hours I spent scouring their website for the perfect chairs to fit out budget, and our aesthetic. And, I really needed to consider chairs made from a sturdy enough material to withstand Boone’s teething. When your 90 pound puppy teethes, it’s no joke, y’all!
After much research and Pinterest browsing, I came across these metal Tolix-style chairs in a versatile gunmetal hue. Not only were they a great fit for our budget, but they fit in beautifully with the aesthetic we’re creating in this space! The gunmetal color works well with our light gray table, and they’re the ideal size, too. We have gold accents throughout the room, and I love that these metallic chairs give a mixed metals feel.
Armon and I are already looking forward to spending holidays gathered around this table with loved ones! I may even find an excuse to host a little soiree sometime soon just so we can find a reason to gather friends old and new together.
