Oh y’all, I have no idea how it’s already August! I can’t pretend that I’m not slightly relieved to see July go, considering it was such a tough month for Armon and me. All things considered, we were able to close out July with a bang, and welcome in a new month with some of our favorite people!

I skipped out of the office early on Friday to head up to Tyler to spend the weekend with my parents, and my brother’s family. We were celebrating not one, but three birthdays in the family, and it’s been the first season in years where we’ve all been in the same state! Armon and I road tripped our way to Tyler for a weekend full of fro-yo, family dinners, and playing pretend with the spunkiest little niece and nephew we know.

And truthfully, y’all, I took absolutely zero photos. Except for this one of the tasty antipasti platters we put together for a laid back Sunday night dinner! My phone spent most of the weekend tucked away in my purse, and it was so good to spend a few days mostly unplugged from work and social media. I’ve found that I enter into a new week feeling so refreshed and focused when I’ve given myself the opportunity to step away from social media, and spend time actually soaking up those around me.
