Summer 2023 Teaser | Brand Strategy Podcast

July 5, 2023

As we approach the middle of Summer and the start of my annual sabbatical, we’re switching things up over here on The Brand Strategy Podcast! In order to allow me and my team a little more flexibility in soaking up the sun this summer and being fully present with our favorite people, we’re taking the month of July off from the podcast.

Don’t worry though! We’ll be back to our usual programming with a brand new episode on August 2nd. Although there won’t be any new episodes going live in July, you have brand new content awaiting you in August. And you have the entire archive of past BSP episodes to dive into at your own pace!

Tune in above to catch the full update, and keep scrolling for the full transcript and other mentioned resources below.

Bonnie (00:01):
Friends, welcome back to the Brand Strategy podcast, where today I am so excited to be sharing a fun update for the summer and really what that means for the podcast and for you. So if you’ve been a longtime listener, you probably know that each year I prioritize a summer sabbatical. I’m very intentional about creating a schedule that aligns with the kind of life that I wanna live. And for years now, a sabbatical has been something that I’ve prioritized. This is an intentional time away from my business where I’m not available to anyone, I’m not working on anything. I’m really disconnected from the business, and I’m fully plugged into living my life and resting and any recovery that I might need, especially after a a busy season. And so, with that being said here on the podcast during the month of July, you are not gonna see any new episodes.

Bonnie (01:02):
We are taking July as sabbatical month. Instead, you are going to see an episode go live on August 2nd. I’m already really excited to share this episode with you. It is all about content strategy and how to leverage content strategy to reach your unique business goals with the incredible content strategist and expert Amanda Warfield. In this episode, we talk about how your content strategy can empower you to reach the goals that you want to pursue in your business, and how to do that in a way that feels simple, that feels approachable, that feels life-giving in some instances. And Amanda is such a wealth of knowledge around this topic. So I’m low key. Really excited to be able to share this with you in just a couple weeks. But if you are missing the new content that we normally have coming out every other week here on the podcast, I encourage you to dive back into the archives.

Bonnie (02:01):
We’ve got tons and tons of episodes, solo episodes, interviews that cover such a range of topics, and I encourage you to really seek out what feels like a good fit for you and what honors the season of business that you’re currently experiencing. I also wanna encourage you that if you need this reminder as we celebrate the summer season here in the Northern Hemisphere, I wanna encourage you to take this as an opportunity to make any changes that you might need to, whether it’s just for the week, for the month, or for the rest of the summer, to structure your schedule in a way that allows you to be present with those you love, with yourself, with the kind of life that you are building. Because at the end of the day, these businesses that we run exist

Bonnie (02:59):
To, uh, enhance our lives, but they’re not our entire lives. And I realized that everyone’s schedule is different. Everyone’s life is different. We all have different responsibilities. Whether you are a primary caregiver, whether you’re a parent, whether you are balancing your business and, uh, a full-time job, whether you are prioritizing traveling or, you know, experiencing some big life changes in this current season, I understand that every situation is unique and is different, but if you have the opportunity to carve out a little bit of time for yourself, whatever that looks like, I encourage you to do so. I never want you to be so busy building your business that you forget to live your life. And this is me over here practicing what I’m preaching and I’m stepping away from the podcast this month in order to be present in my sabbatical and not feel any pressure to promote a new episode or to show up on social media or elsewhere online, unless that sounds fun in the moment.

Bonnie (04:08):
So with that being said, if me talking about taking time away from your business, carving out some time for a sabbatical is kind of peaking in your interest. I actually have talked about how I practice a sabbatical each year and how I make that happen in my business, kind of the prep work that I do and the implementation of that, uh, over on the blog and on the podcast in the past. So if that peaks your interest, you can go to brand strategy podcast.com, click on the latest episode link, and I will have all of those resources waiting for you in the show notes so that you can explore this concept a little bit more if it would serve you well. As a quick recap, uh, really the headline here is that for July, things are gonna be a little quieter around here. So it’s a great opportunity to pop back into the archives and catch up on some episodes that you might not have missed or revisit some of your favorites. And I also want you to know that on August 2nd, we have a brand new episode with Amanda Warfield going live, talking about content strategy and how to utilize this concept in a way that can help you reach your incredible business goals. So, I’ll see you back here on August 2nd, and in the meantime, you know that I’m gonna be cheering you on from Waco.
